KIDNAP KINGPIN WADUME CONTESTED FOR HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY POST IN 2019 ELECTIONS (PICTURES)

Alhaji Hamisu Bala, a suspected kidnap kingpin in Taraba State, popularly known as Wadume, who was rearrested by the police contested to be a member of the Taraba House of Assembly, in the 2019 election.
The kidnap kingpin who is unable to speak English contested for the post on the platform of the Young Democratic Party (YDP).

Alhaji Wadume became known throughout the country after some police officers who had arrested him were shot and killed by soldiers along the Ibbi-Wukari road in Taraba State.
Wadume who has now made a confession which is contained in a video released by the police revealed that the soldiers shot at the policemen, killed them, and then broke the handcuffs on his hand, thus setting him free.
He then escaped until he was traced to his uncle’s house in Kano by the police and rearrested.
Alhaji Wadume was said to have been a philanthropist in his local community in Ibbi as he bought motorcycles for some young men amongst other acts which he carried.
Meanwhile, pictures of the house where he was taking refuge in Kano before his rearrest has emerged online.
